Convert child account to independent account

Overview

If your child is old enough, you can convert their child profile into an independent user account. Your child can then log in to the app with their own e-mail address and password.

Important: This process cannot be undone.

Step-by-step

1. Open Manage children via your user menu.
2. Tap on the child profile you want to convert.
3. Tap on Create a standalone account.
4. Read the note: "This will convert [name] into an independent user account. The child can then log in with their own email and password. This action cannot be undone."
5. Tap on Continue.
6. Enter a new email address for the child.
7. Set a password (at least 8 characters) and confirm it.
8. Tap on Create account.

After the conversion, the confirmation "[Name] now has an independent account" appears. The child will be removed from your child list and can now log in independently.

Troubleshooting

"This e-mail address is already in use " Use a different e-mail address that is not yet linked to an account.

"Passwords do not match " Make sure that you enter exactly the same password in both password fields.

"Password must be at least 8 characters long " Choose a password with at least 8 characters.
